Digital Storytelling Project – What makes an online audience stay?

For my digital storytelling project, I aimed to answer the question, what makes an online audience stay?  The inspiration for this was that I noticed in my own habits while I enjoyed most videos, there were some videos where I didn’t even make it through the first 30 seconds for seemingly no reason, and I wondered if there was any research into this audience attitude. In my research, I found the uses and gratification theory, which really fit with the ways I feel, and by research, my friends also feel, when watching online video.

Special thanks to Dayle, Nick, Erin and Sam for participating in the video.
